We have lots to offer here at HealthSpace, to help you stay well this Winter. Feeling good in ourselves and making time for personal self care can also help to protect our mental well being, during the darker Winter months ahead.
Through out the pandemic, we have been committed to keeping our staff and clients as safe as possible. The government announced over Christmas, that England has moved to Plan B in response to the risks of the Omicron variant and we want you to be aware of some changes and of your personal risk in attending appointments.
Unless you are medically exempt, please keep wearing a face mask into our reception area. We have installed a touch-less hand sanitiser at the entrance of the clinic and respectfully request that you continue to sanitise your hands before entering and only enter the clinic wearing a mask.
In line with government guidance, your therapist for touch therapy treatments will be wearing a face shield or a face mask during your treatment. Unless medically exempt, government guidelines recommend wearing a type 11 face mask during close contact services.
As there is still a recommendation for social distancing, we need to limit the number of clients in the reception area. Please be mindful of this and consider waiting for someone to exit, before entering the clinic.
If you were previously identified as clinically extremely vulnerable (CEV) or clinically vulnerable, GP consent should be obtained before making your appointment.
If you are more than 28 weeks pregnant, or if you are pregnant and have an underlying health condition that puts you at a greater risk of severe illness from Covid-19 at any point in pregnancy, we request that you obtain GP consent.
If you currently have symptoms of Covid-19, or have tested positive for Covid-19, then your practitioner will not be able to offer you an appointment. Please phone and reschedule your appointment if you have recent onset symptoms of any of the following:
You should self-isolate at home while you get a PCR test and wait for the results. You must self-isolate for ten days if you test positive.
Fully vaccinated contacts of someone with Covid-19 should take rapid lateral flow tests every day for 7 days. If you test positive or develop symptoms, you will need to reschedule your appointment and self-isolate for 10 days. If you have taken a lateral flow test on the morning of your appointment and it is negative, your practitioner will be able to treat you.
For every new appointment, we will still need to send you an on line Covid-19 Health Questionnaire. Please ensure that this is completed and submitted before you arrive at the clinic.
Please do wear a face mask and use the touch-less hand sanitiser before entering the clinic. Please keep belongings to a minimum and we kindly request that you are well hydrated and have used the bathroom before your visit. As much as possible, we would still like to restrict the use of our washroom.
Please attend alone, but if you need to bring a carer, they are welcome to sit and wait for you.
As you leave, there is hand sanitiser available in reception and outside the front door. If there is an issue with your future appointment, then please ring and speak to a receptionist or email to rearrange. Our procedures will be constantly reviewed to keep everyone safe.
The intention of this message is to keep you up to date and to advise you of what your HealthSpace appointments will need to be like for the immediate future.
On behalf of all of our team, I would like to thank you for the patience that you have shown us during this challenging time
